What is CarmillaCon?

CarmillaCon is a fan convention, created by fans, celebrating the award winning web-series and movie Carmilla.

Where is CarmillaCon located?

CarmillaCon will take place October 5th & 6th at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel.

Is there an age requirement for CarmillaCon?

All ages are welcomed. However, we do recommend that anyone under 18 attends with a chaperone especially if you are purchasing a hotel room. All children under 12 can attend CarmillaCon for free.

Can I bring Food & Drinks to the convention.

Outside food will not be permitted in the convention space. However, you are welcomed to bring water or non alcoholic beverages to keep you hydrated. Nonetheless, there will be food and convience options throughout the hotel where you can either purchase food or eat your snack there.

Do I need to bring my photo ID?

Yes! A photo ID is required for badge pick up.

Will there be gender-neutral bathrooms?


Is there a designated room block at the hosting hotel?

Yes. Please visit here for the limited room block.

Will there be security?

Yes we will have security present at the convention.

Is there a lost and found at the convention?

Yes you can check the registration desk for any lost items.

Can I wear a costume to the convention?

Yes, costumes and cosplay are welcome. All weapons must be fake. No real weapons allowed. Cosplay weapons should not be able to shoot anything, including air-soft guns. If you have fangs with fake blood please be mindful of not spreading it on other people. This goes for cookie crumbs too.

Will the tickets sell out?

It is highly recommended that you purchase your tickets as early as you can.

Is a deposit required for reserved hotel booking or am I charged upon arrival?

It’s one of two methods when booking to secure a room: a one night pre-paid deposit OR an authorization for the entire stay’s room and taxes, which will only be charged upon check out.


Are you inviting cast members to CarmillaCon?

We are currently working with several representatives to bring various cast members to CarmillaCon. Please note that this process is extensive and can take weeks or even months to arrange. Purchasing a ticket does not guarantee your favorite will be there.

How can I personally meet the special guest that are attending?

There are a few ways but the best way would be through a scheduled/purhased meet and greet or workshop. Additionally, you'll have the chance to introduce yourself at an autograph session, but please note the autograph line must move swiftly.

Can I suggest a cast member?

Sure! We are open to all possibilities. However, keep in mind scheduling and budget restraints do apply. We would love to hear from you though!

If my favorite guest isn’t announced can I assume you did not invite them?

Not at all! Some guests are not or cannot be announced until very close to the event. Some guests have been invited but are unable to make it for a variety of reasons, including prior engagements, scheduling issues or may not be able to commit to attend until very close to the event because of their work schedules. Stay tuned!


Why are the online ticket sales in USD?

CarmillaCon is a US based company, therefore, online transactions will be in USD.

Can I transfer my ticket?

Yes - you can edit the details on your eventbrite ticket.

Are tickets refundable?

All tickets sales are final and non refundable.

Where can I pick up my badge?

We'll release information about an official badge pick up eventsoon. However, you'll be able to pick up your badge first thing Saturday morning of the Con.

If I lose my badge at the con can I get a replacement?

If there are extra badges available we'll provide one for you, however, this is not guranteed.

Does my child need to purchase a ticket?

We will have free passes for baby creampuffs under the age of 12.

Can I buy admission at the door or do I have to buy them in advance?

All passes are sold online only.

When are tickets going on sale?

Tickets will go on sale Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 12PM EST.

What time does CarmillaCon start and end?

Start and end times are TBA.

Autographs + Photographs

How can I get an autograph/photograph?

We'll announce autograph and photograph add ons shortly.

Do I need a CarmillaCon pass in order to get an autograph/photograph?

Yes! A CarmillaCon 2 Day pass is required in order to purchase add ons such as autographs, photographs, and meet and greets.

Will there be separate lines for VIP and general admission guests in the autograph/photograph lines?

Yes, there will be priotity lines for those that hold a VIP Pass.

Disability Assistance

Will you have special accommodations for people with disability requests?

Yes! The organizers at CarmillaCon plan to do our best to accommodate those with any disability requests.

How can I request disability assistance?

If you need individualized assistance, please fill out this form. Additionally, if you attend to bring a medical aide, you may request an aide badge for a family member or friend by emailing Aide badges offer attendance to conference programming while in the service of an individual with a disability.


Do I need to be registered in Canada to be a vendor at CarmillaCon?

You will be responsible for complying with all regulations relating to your business and reporting. You may be asked to provide a copy of a valid Public Liability insurance document. CarmillaCon is not responsible for your documentation or licensing. You assume all liability associated with your attendance at the event.
