About CarmillaCon:


We are a small group of dedicated Carmilla fans who are willing to put all efforts together to make CarmillaCon a successful event. Our small team has a unique background in organizing large events in the past. This includes concerts, comedy shows, weddings, and theatrical performances.  As a group, our mission is to bring fellow fans together to give Carmilla its most deserved praise.

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. Tickets will be sold online from February 23, 2019 - October 1st, 2019. Make sure you buy your tickets as far in advance as you can because tickets will not be sold at the convention doors.


Single day passes will not be sold.  All tickets will be two-day passes. Please keep that in mind if you only plan on attending one day.


Children under the age of 12 are allowed free entry but only with an adult that has a two day pass.



Tickets may be transferred to another attendee but refunds will not be available. Refunds will only be available in the event the convention has been canceled for any unforeseeable reason.




Although our guests have been booked and promoted by us with the best of intentions, there is always the chance the guests will have to cancel due to a number of reasons. These reasons could include, scheduling conflicts, any emergencies, or any inclement weather. Conventions may have cancellations for any reason and for that matter the tickets are again, NON-REFUNDABLE, because these tickets are for admission into the convention not for any specific guests.

Any cancelled guest autograph or photo op will be refunded within 30 days after the convention has concluded.


Code of Conduct:


We strive to make CarmillaCon a fun and safe experience for everyone involved. By doing that, we highly advise that you be kind and respectful of everyone regardless of how they identify and who they are. It would mean the world to us, and everyone of the attendees, guests, volunteers, and staff if you remain courteous towards others.


All of the following are prohibited at CarmillaCon:


  • Any sort of behavior that is deemed disruptive, or dangerous to the guests, attendees, volunteers or staff will not be tolerated.

  • Sexual misconduct, such as indecent exposure, sexual harassment or offensive touching

  • Any activity which can harm anyone or any property

  • Any sort of activities that cause disruption such as excessive noises or any other disruptive behaviour in or on the convention premises.


If these disturbances do not cease or the perpetrators are found guilty they will be dealt with in the following:


  • Given a warning

  • Asked to leave the convention without refund




The CarmillaCon team strives to make the convention a wonderful experience for everyone and in order to do that it’s important that we know exactly what you need.

You can also email us at info@carmillacon.com. If you intend to bring medical aid with you, you can request an aid badge for you, or a family member that may need it. Aid badges offer attendance to convention programming while in service of an individual with a disability.


Dress Code and Props:


  • In everyone's best interest, if there is a weapon that you are bringing as a prop, it has to be 100% fake. This needs to be a safe convention so no real Swords of Hastur!

  • Wear shoes at all times, please don’t go barefoot.

  • If there are any real swords or weapons of any sort they will be confiscated through security. You will be asked to leave and further legalities can take place.

  • Bags are subject to search upon entry and re-entry into the Con to ensure the safety and security of all attendees and guests.


Photography and Video:


Both are allowed as long as you have full consent from all participants in the video or the photo. We want to be courteous of others at the convention. Please understand that not everyone wants to be photographed or recorded.


Those that we have authorized to take professional photos or video recordings will have an indicator somewhere on their badge.


We will be live-streaming the event to either Youtube or through another platform. CarmillaCon will post all recordings on Youtube or other platforms so that everyone will have the opportunity to view the panels. We will not allow anyone to repost or redistribute any videos that are taken at the panels.


Photography and video will not be permitted in any of the autograph/photo rooms. If you are caught taking photos and videos you will be asked to leave. Videos or photography of any kind will also not be permitted in any of the meet and greet rooms. No exceptions will be made.


You will not be allowed to record videos for any commercial, blogging, or any other sort of promotional purposes unless you have been permitted to by the CarmillaCon team. We take the reputation and integrity of CarmillaCon very seriously.

Food & Beverages:


Attendees are welcome to bring water or non alcoholic beverages for hydration into the convention area, however alcohol and food will not be permitted.

Food and beverage will be available for purchase outside the convention area at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel restaurants and/or cafes.

Autographs and Photo Ops:


Autographs will be available for purchase prior to as well as at the convention. Purchases at the convention will be cash only in CAD currency. Please bring and present your ticket at the autograph table. Autograph tickets can be used towards signing a free 8x10 photo by the guests, or one item of your choice. Multiple items will require separate ticket purchases. All items used for autographs are subject to guest approval, and guests reserve the right to not sign any items they consider inappropriate or offensive.


Photo ops will be available for purchase prior to as well as at the convention. Purchases at the convention will be cash only in CAD currency. Please bring and present your ticket at the photo op table. Guests reserve the right to not pose with anyone who makes them feel uncomfortable, at the guest's sole discretion.  


Selfies will be available for some guests. Please note, selfies are limited so get what you want as early as possible. Prices for these will be at the Sales table starting at 11am on Saturday. Selfies are only available for purchase onsite.


Due to time constraints, please limit your conversation with guests during autographs and photo ops out of respect for all attendees in line. Lines will be monitored. In the event that you are holding up the line, volunteers will ask you to finish up the conversation and move along.



Disclaimer for Activities:


By purchasing a ticket and entering the convention area, all attendees accept that it is entirely your responsibility to decide whether participation in any activity in the convention programming is appropriate to your capabilities, aptitude, fitness and health.  Attendees also accept that it is entirely your responsibility to observe all safety requirements and instructions that you may be given in relation to such activities.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, CarmillaCon and all entities within the CarmillaCon planning committee hereby disclaim any liability for any loss, injury or damage whatsoever that you may suffer in connection with or arising from the convention whether direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential (including, without limitation, loss of profit, loss of business or any other type of economic loss) or otherwise arising from your participation in any activities offered as part of the convention programming (including, without limitation, any activities held outside of, or incidentally to, the main convention that you are visiting).
